Student Success: Jasmine Fells


Jasmine Fells has been in Girl Scouting since the ripe age of 5 years old, and now turning 17, entering her senior year at John Carroll Catholic High School, she has accomplished completing requirements for receiving her Gold Award, which is the equivalent of the Boy Scout’s “Eagle Award.” It was her passion for working with Art and enjoying the company of children, that she created an after-school art program called, “Fun Art” where she taught art classes to students at Princeton Elementary School within the Birmingham City School system and The Boys and Girls Club in Clay, Alabama. “Fun Art” lasted from January through May 2009, alternating weeks for each site. She worked with 55 youth ranging from 1st grade to 5th grade.
